The "Guesthouse"

Go to "the house", or " gå på huset" is a Swedish expression when you need to go to the toilet Probably it is from the past when you need to go out when you need to go... I remember our old "huset", on our barton in Sweden. a red little wood house behind the barn, with pictures on the wall with royals on. Some old magazines and a double sitting. O yes, not so fun in wintertime but looking back to it, it was quite charming ... Like a hymn to the old toilets I did a redress in our guest toilet at our house. Last blog post I did was the entrance, and good to know is of course where "huset" is when you visit someone. Welcome to " the royal toilet" <3 Look in the mirror and feel like a king or queen, prince or princess...
King Orange, the first king in Belgium, (Nederlands in the time) and Princess Astrid (from Sweden) married to King Leopold of Belgium. Oh yes, Sweden Belgian is an old tradition...I found "Bobby" or " Milou" as a king, so of course, he has to have a place at our toilet. The lamp is from a Swedish "loppis" ( flea market).
The soap plate have I bought in the royal castle in Sweden. And the little red house is "huset" in real "falurödfärg" (the real classic red from Sweden, from the copper mile in Falun).
The toilet lit is made in a dark wood, I was thinking of the real old ones in the wood from the past so of course, it has to be in wood...
Read a magazine about the Swedish royals, a basket hanging there for you. Over the magazines is it heart hanging, a watercolour painting from a friend. Hearts were always at the doors and you can see it on the little red house too (picture below)
Look at the royals on the wall, our king and queens of Sweden and Belgium...
Wash your hands, take a towel from the crown hook,
The lamp is a retro lamp from '"Karlskrona lampor" in Sweden.
On the way out... I hope you enjoyed your moment at our "huset"
